Baseball Recap: Hilltop Comes Up Short

While it was Hilltop who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Paulding who put up more. The Cadets fell 9-4 to the Panthers. The Cadets haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hilltop saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terry Rebeck, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Paulding, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilltop will challenge Pettisville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackbirds have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Paulding, they will square off against Antwerp at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
