Basketball Recap: Roselle Piles Up the Points Against American History

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Roselle's strategy against American History on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rams blew the Eagles out of the water with a 64-15 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-13.

American History's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Basheer Branch, who posted four points and seven boards, and Ahmad Davis, who put up six points. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.

Roselle has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.5 points this season. As for American History, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Roselle has already played their next matchup (against Governor Livingston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for American History, they will head out on the road to square off against West Caldwell Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
