Soccer Recap: Grapevine Takes a Loss

Grapevine lost against Argyle back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grapevine Mustangs fell just short of the Argyle Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Eagles are ranked 36th).

Grapevine's goal came courtesy of Tatum Harig, which was the first she's scored this season.

Grapevine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Argyle, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Grapevine has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Denton on the 25th. As for Argyle, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Colleyville Heritage on the 25th.
