Football Recap: Union Grove Wolverines vs. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers
Union Grove extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They took a 35-20 bruising from the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Even if they lost, Union Grove's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gregory Jackson and Luke Sharp, who racked up four sacks between them. Terrance Hill was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the match before.
