Basketball Recap: East Webster's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

East Webster entered their tilt with Choctaw County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 69-57 victory over the Choctaw County Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-41 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Choctaw County still got an impressive performance from Caleb Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. Cunningham's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Will Taylor, who posted 12 points.

East Webster is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Choctaw County, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

East Webster will take on Winston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Choctaw County, they will face off against Mooreville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
