Belmont got themselves on the board against Hillsboro-Deering on Friday, but Hillsboro-Deering never followed suit. They blew past the Hillcats 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Belmont has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hillsboro-Deering, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Belmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillsboro-Deering, they have already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Raymond on the 1st.
