Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Trinity Trojans will face off against the Independence Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Trinity came up short against Cuyahoga Heights and fell 74-63. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Red Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Independence entered their tilt with Oberlin on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Phoenix for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-40 victory. The match marked the Blue Devils' most dominant win of the season.

Independence pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Trinity was able to grind out a solid win over Independence when the teams last played back in January, winning 69-62. Will Trinity repeat their success, or does Independence have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
