Volleyball Recap: Socorro Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ayeleen Gutierrez and Alyssa Almanza

Socorro's tournament run continued when they took on Duncanville on Friday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers and Pantherettes.

Socorro's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alyssa Almanza, who had 17 digs, and Ayeleen Gutierrez, who had six digs and three aces.

Socorro now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Duncanville, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
