Volleyball Recap: Kell Comes Up Short

Kell lost against River Ridge back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Longhorns took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kell may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored seven points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7.

Mckenzie Gurndy paced Kell's offense, picking up three kills. Gurndy were helped by Rilee Wells and Gracie Barrett, who contributed three assists each.

Kell now has a losing record of 2-3. As for River Ridge, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coincidentally, Kell and River Ridge will both be playing Wheeler the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
