Preview: Bremen Blue Devils vs. Ridgeland Panthers
The Bremen Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Ridgeland Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Bremen lost to Coahulla Creek at home by a decisive 59-40 margin. Bremen has not had much luck with Coahulla Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Ridgeland had to settle for a 53-51 defeat against Ringgold on Friday. Ridgeland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from John Hill, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Chase Hickman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Armuchee's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Bremen's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Bremen came up short against Ridgeland when the teams last played back in January, falling 78-74. Can Bremen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
