 The McClatchy Lions are on the road again  on Wednesday to play the Ponderosa Bruins at 4:00  p.m. McClatchy will be strutting in after a  win while Ponderosa will be coming in after a  defeat.
 McClatchy scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Monday. Everything went their way against Cordova as McClatchy made off with  a  14-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for McClatchy considering their two-run performance the  match before.
  Finn Ferris was a major factor no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Ferris was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other pitching news,  Xavier Vuittonet looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also only allowed one  walk).
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ari Silva, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Brandon Lor was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, sadly, Ponderosa is still looking for their first win of the season after seven  matchups. They suffered a  tough 10-1 loss at the hands of Rocklin  on Tuesday.
 Ponderosa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Austin Sanchez, who  went 1-for-2 with a  home run.
 McClatchy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Ponderosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
 McClatchy couldn't quite finish off Ponderosa when the teams last played  back in March of 2023 and fell  7-5.
