Recap: Tocoi Creek Toros vs. Nease Panthers
The Tocoi Creek Toros lost against the Nease Panthers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tocoi Creek suffered a tough 47-27 loss at the hands of Nease.
Tocoi Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Ryan Killmer and Connor Mcclendon. Killmer threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns, while Mcclendon picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nease to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cam Smith, who rushed for 100 yards and four touchdowns, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. Kj Perry was another major influence, as he rushed for 116 yards and ran in a TD.
Tocoi Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Nease, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Tocoi Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nease will be playing at home against Niceville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Niceville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nease in Florida (Niceville is ranked 28th, while Nease is ranked 134th).
