Baseball Recap: Eastlake Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eastlake had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Glendora Tartans.

Eastlake got a great performance from Nick Romero as he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Romero has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hamza Hatahet was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Eastlake pushed their record up to 21-10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Glendora, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-11.

As of now, neither Eastlake nor the Tartans have any future games scheduled.
