While Cypress's win against Kennedy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Centurions skirted past the Fighting Irish 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Fighting Irish: they've now won nine in a row.

Chach Stamper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tia Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Cypress' win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Kennedy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress will host Pacifica at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Mariners have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Kennedy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garden Grove at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
