Baseball Recap: Kiefer Gets the Win

While Kiefer's victory against Checotah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 2-0 shutout on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since April 15, 2025.

Kiefer secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Trent Cantrell, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Kiefer's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Checotah, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 20-4 record.

Kiefer will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
