Basketball Recap: Katy Taylor Takes a Loss

Katy Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Katy Tigers didn't end well, with the Katy Taylor Mustangs falling 61-47. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Tigers are ranked 63rd).

Katy Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Katy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jordan the next time they take the court. Katy will head out to face Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Katy Taylor will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
