Robert Mcdaniel Delivers Best Performance of Season

Robert Mcdaniel produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hughson to the win on Friday. Mcdaniel wasn't messing around, throwing for 427 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per attempt. The matchup was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.

The victory for Hughson keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Mcdaniel and Hughson are taking a road trip to square off against Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tommy Sutton Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Sonora had to settle for second even though Tommy Sutton put up the best numbers he has all season. Sutton rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (112.9). He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.

Sonora's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1. Sutton and Sonora will venture away from home to square off against Ripon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Merek Ellerd Delivers Electric Effort Vs Orestimba

Hilmar found a leader in Merek Ellerd as the squad took down Orestimba on Friday. Ellerd was dynamite, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.

Hilmar now has a winning record of 4-3. Ellerd and Hilmar will challenge Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Malakai Sumter and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Hughson picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Malakai Sumter. Sonora had no answer to Sumter as he picked up 117 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sumter's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.

This season, Sumter has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 76.4 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 44.29 receiving yards per game.
