Baseball Recap: Watkins Memorial Warriors vs. Licking Heights Hornets
Watkins Memorial had lost three games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-8 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Licking Heights Hornets with a sharp 12-5 victory. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 12-3).
Bradley Vincent made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
