Basketball Recap: West Marion Comes Up Short

West Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Patrick Fighting Irish. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-43 last Tuesday.

West Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for St. Patrick, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

West Marion will challenge Hattiesburg at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for St. Patrick, they will square off against Perry Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
