Basketball Recap: Florala Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

There's no place like home for Florala, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Opp Bobcats by a score of 56-43 on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-53 last Tuesday.

Florala's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah McMeans led the charge by going 7 of 8 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. McMeans is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dalton Jackson, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Opp lost, don't look at DJ Hines. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 21 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Hines is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.
