Softball Game Preview: ESTEM Mets vs. Robinson Senators

The ESTEM Mets will venture away from home to challenge the Robinson Senators at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. ESTEM is looking for their season's first victory.

ESTEM is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Parkview last Thursday, falling 17-6.

Meanwhile, Robinson beat Mills University Studies 9-5 last Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won seven in a row.

Ashley Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Lexi Rowe was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mallie Johnston, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Robinson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Robinson's record is now 8-3. As for ESTEM, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
