Volleyball Recap: Port Clinton Takes a Loss

Port Clinton lost against Lakota back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Redskins fell 3-1 to the Raiders. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Port Clinton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lila Bishop had 14 digs and four aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Bishop. Taylor Werling also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Jerzee Crawford was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

Port Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lakota, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Clinton will welcome Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakota, they will challenge Woodmore at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
