Baseball Recap: Martins Ferry Find Success

Martins Ferry proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the East Palestine Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Purple Riders have posted since April 18th.

Martins Ferry's record is now 8-9. As for East Palestine, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-8 record.

Martins Ferry has already played their next game (against Bridgeport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for East Palestine, they are taking a road trip to take on David Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
