Walden Grove hadn't done well against Sahuaro recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Red Wolves blew past the Cougars 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Red Wolves: when they faced off against the Cougars back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-11.

Sahuaro's loss came despite strong showings from Justlyn Lang and Alexia Gould. Lang had 13 digs, while Gould had ten digs.

Walden Grove's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 11-15. As for Sahuaro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 19 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season.
