Baseball Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss

Loyola made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Harvard-Westlake, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cubs fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Cubs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Caden Chavez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April.

At the plate, James Dell'Amico made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Loyola's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Harvard-Westlake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.

As of now, neither Loyola nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
