Football Game Preview: Magee Trojans vs. Franklin County Bulldogs

The Magee Trojans will square off against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Magee will be strutting in after a win while Franklin County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Magee got the win against Collins by a conclusive 35-14. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Magee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braeden Gregory and Tyler Walker. Gregory has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 34-10 to Perry Central.

Magee's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Magee against Franklin County in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 39-7 victory. In that contest, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 33-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
