Volleyball Recap: Lyons Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

After losing to Wheaton-Warrenville South the last time they met, Lyons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lyons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Wheaton-Warrenville South on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lyons got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Lyons' win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Lyons and Wheaton-Warrenville South will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Lyons sees the court they'll take on Oak Park-River Forest at 5:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their break will end when they face Hinsdale Central at 5:30 p.m. on April 14.
