Recap: Aiken Falcons vs. Western Hills Mustangs
The Aiken Falcons waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Western Hills by a score of 79-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Aiken was led to victory by Jaiden Arnold and James Burnett. Arnold scored 30 points along with eight assists and four steals, while Burnett scored 37 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burnett has scored all season.
Aiken is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Western Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aiken will take on Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Hills, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hughes at 7:30 p.m.
