Basketball Recap: Coronado Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Coronado had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Point Loma Pointers by a score of 65-54. Winning may never get old, but the Islanders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 14-16. As for Point Loma, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season.

Coronado will face off against Maranatha Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Maranatha Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Point Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
