Baseball Game Preview: Hudson Hornets vs. Rusk Eagles

For the second straight game, Hudson will face off against Rusk. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hudson 3.3, Rusk 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Rusk's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Hudson hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Hornets didn't even let the Eagles on the board on Tuesday, marking the Hornets' second-straight 3-0 shutout. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Hudson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Bonacci, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Levi Slatter, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Rusk and nudges their season record down to 10-9. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Hudson, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.
