Basketball Recap: Fairview's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

If Fairview was feeling good fresh off their 85-49 takedown of Prairie View on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights received a blow on Friday as they fell 67-51 to the Horizon Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 67-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Fairview lost, don't look at Owen Harding. Despite the final result, he shot 55% from the field en route to 16 points. Harding continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nolan Plut, who posted six points.

Leading Horizon to victory were Boaz Wisne and Noah Sokolowski. Wisne went 9-for-13 to rack up 23 points and five rebounds, while Sokolowski dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Wisne has posted since back in January. Noah Fields was another key player, putting up eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fairview fell to 3-1. As for Horizon, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Fairview will take on Mountain Range in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon and Arvada West will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
