Volleyball Recap: Lake Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lake Central entered their tilt with Valparaiso on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 24-26, 25-20.

Danny Smith paced Lake Central's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith were helped by Nelko Dragulski and Brady Cook, who contributed 19 assists each. Smith was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Lake Central's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Valparaiso, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake Central will challenge rival Crown Point at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Valparaiso is set to face off against their familiar foe Westville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
