Basketball Recap: Haywood Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Haywood Christian Academy's last matchup with Challenger could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Red Wolves were outmatched by the Firebirds and fell 77-48. The Red Wolves haven't had much luck with the Firebirds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Haywood Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Matthias Bryson, who shot 47% from the field en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Walter Collings, who posted nine points.

Braelon Roe had a dynamite game For Challenger., dropping a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Roe a new career-high. AJ Burch was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

Haywood Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Challenger, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
