Volleyball Recap: Carmel Christian Takes a Loss

Carmel Christian lost against Charlotte Country Day School back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carmel Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-6, 25-23.

Charlotte Country Day School found their leader in sophomore Ella Standish, who had nine digs and two assists.

Carmel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Charlotte Country Day School, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Coming up, Carmel Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Lee Park Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they will welcome North Raleigh Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
