Recap: Wisdom Generals vs. Sterling Raiders

The Wisdom Generals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Sterling, falling 90-27. While losing is never fun, Wisdom can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1601st, while Sterling is ranked 472nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sterling to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xzavier Edmonson, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The match was Edmonson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isiah McCreary, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Wisdom has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Sterling, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Wisdom will head out on the road to face off against Galena Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Madison's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
