Volleyball Recap: Purnell Swett Takes a Loss

Purnell Swett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Lumberton Pirates, falling 3-0. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-7, 25-14.

Purnell Swett's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lumberton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Purnell Swett is set to square off against their familiar foe Terry Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lumberton will challenge rival Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
