Baseball Recap: Lakeland Hornets vs. Croton-Harmon Tigers
Lakeland was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Croton-Harmon Tigers by a score of 7-4. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 8-4 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Alex Mautone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
