Volleyball Game Preview: Asheboro Blue Comets vs. Sun Valley Spartans

The Asheboro Blue Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Sun Valley Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheboro will be strutting in after a victory while Sun Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Asheboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Ashbrook as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-8.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Sun Valley and Weddington, and Weddington kept the tradition alive. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday.

While Sun Valley had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Asheboro pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Sun Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-13.
