Softball Preview: Sherburne-Earlville Marauders vs. Little Falls Mounties

Sherburne-Earlville is 2-8 against Little Falls since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders will be playing at home against the Little Falls Mounties at 4:30 p.m. Sherburne-Earlville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Wednesday, Sherburne-Earlville needed a bit of extra time to put away Sauquoit Valley. They skirted past the Indians 4-2.

Haleigh Fisher spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 23 Ks. Those eight innings set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Reagen Krueger was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Born, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Sherburne-Earlville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Little Falls, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
