Basketball Recap: Wheeling Park's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marietta, Wheeling Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They strolled past the John Marshall Monarchs with points to spare, taking the game 56-37. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

With the victory, Wheeling Park broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for John Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheeling Park will venture away from home to square off against Steubenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Marshall, they will head out to take on Preston at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
