Baseball Recap: Kasson-Mantorville Comes Up Short

Kasson-Mantorville lost against Pine Island back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Komets took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Komets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kasson-Mantorville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Irish, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Kasson-Mantorville now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pine Island, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Kasson-Mantorville will challenge Lourdes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Island will be paying especially close attention to the Komets' contest: after the Komets faces off against the Eagles, they'll take on Pine Island again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
