Baseball Game Preview: Long Island City Bulldogs vs. Lane Knights

Long Island City is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Lane a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Long Island City Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Lane Knights at 4:00 p.m. The match will give Long Island City their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Long Island City's last matchup with Jamaica could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Bulldogs lost 9-1 to the Beavers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lane). They blew past Jamaica 16-3 on Wednesday. The Knights not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 3, 2024.

Lane's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Long Island City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
