Logan Sailors and Anna Dabell secure win for Rocky Mountain

Recap: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Timberline Wolves

On Thursday, the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies faced the Timberline Wolves in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rocky Mountain sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over Timberline. The win was familiar territory for Rocky Mountain who now have four in a row.

Leading Rocky Mountain to victory were Logan Sailors and Anna Dabell. Sailors scored 14 points along with two steals, while Dabell almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Dabell has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

Grace Mertes and Emmi Swillie certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mertes scored 12 points, while Swillie scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Ashlyn Graklanoff was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Rocky Mountain's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Timberline, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Rocky Mountain will take on Middleton at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Middleton will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Rocky Mountain surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timberline, they will take on Borah at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Timberline is facing Borah at the right time seeing as Borah is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
