Mendon came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with 12 straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Climax-Scotts Panthers  a   15-0 shutout. Considering the Hornets have won 14 matches by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Ally Butler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs.
 In other batting news, Mendon let  Cienna Nightingale and  Jadyn Samson run wild. Nightingale  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base, while  Samson  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Brielle Bailey, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Mendon  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .724. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in May of 2024.
Mendon pushed their record up to 17-1 with the  victory, which was their ninth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Climax-Scotts, they now  have a losing record of 7-8.
 Looking ahead, Mendon is taking a road trip to  square off against Union City  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Climax-Scotts, they will host Burr Oak  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
