Soccer Game Preview: Colquitt County vs. Ware County

The Colquitt County Packers will square off against the Ware County Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colquitt County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Friday, Colquitt County came up short against Richmond Hill and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Colquitt County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Richmond Hill are ranked third).

Meanwhile, Ware County came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let New Hampstead get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Ware County considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Ware County's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Colquitt County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Colquitt County suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Ware County in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can the Packers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
