Softball Game Preview: Jackson Timberwolves vs. Issaquah Eagles

The Jackson Timberwolves will square off against the Issaquah Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jackson came up short against Richland on Saturday, falling 15-1. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elena Eigner (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Issaquah duked it out with Juanita on Monday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Ravens 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Shae Erickson (2027) was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Erickson (2027) was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sadie Huryn (2025), who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Giorgia Graham (2027), who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Issaquah pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
