Baseball Game Preview: Marquette Crusaders vs. Seneca Fighting Irish

For the second straight game, Marquette will face off against Seneca. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marquette has four straight victories, Seneca has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Marquette got the win against Seneca by a conclusive 11-1. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Marquette's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.
