Soccer Recap: Lancaster Mennonite Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Lancaster Mennonite has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pequea Valley Braves. Lancaster Mennonite were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Pequea Valley earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Lancaster Mennonite's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-2. As for Pequea Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lancaster Mennonite will square off against rival Lancaster Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pequea Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
