Basketball Recap: Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Takes a Loss

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood lost against Westhope/Newburg back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks had to suffer through a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Westhope/Newburg Sioux. The game marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leading Westhope/Newburg to victory were Will Artz and Hunter Tolstad. Artz shot 64% from the field en route to 18 points, while Tolstad almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. What's more, Artz also posted an 80% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Walker Braaten was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Westhope/Newburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood nor Westhope/Newburg have any future games scheduled.
