Baseball Recap: Macomb Takes a Loss

Macomb is still winless after their matchup against Brown County on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hornets.

Macomb saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Langdon Lambert, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Lambert also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Macomb's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. Brown County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Macomb will take on Rushville-Industry at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brown County, they will square off against Camp Point Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
